social distancing, day 2

my son is too little to understand why all of his activities are cancelled. he is disappointed to miss friday story hour at the library, but he is resourceful.

he retrieves an old story hour nametag that he'd stuck to his cardboard playhouse and sings the greeting song to himself. then he sings it to his infant sister. there are no other children, so he repeats it to himself.

"hello children! we're glad you came today!"

i quickly pull together some books, an action song, and a craft, all on the theme of dinosaurs. next week, i will be more prepared.
