where to from here?

skeins of canada geese fly overhead, and on cooler evenings, the nocturnal insect chorus begins to stutter and fall silent.

the sick tree in my backyard has already turned autumn colors.

we painted the nursery. i work in the garden. i make the long commute to a soft-money job i will leave once the baby comes. i wonder how much longer i will be able to go running in the mornings.

reading: memories: from moscow to the black sea, teffi.
listening to: okkervil river, away.
working on: this neverending interminable counted cross stitch project.
in the garden: almost time to place an order for spring-blooming bulbs.
