papercut bathymetry
the weather's turned cold like a hairpin - a quick turn, a chilly bit of metal waiting on the vanity. there are bright yellow pompon 'mums marching up the front steps, a spooky shadow village in the front windows. i've been baking, and the kitchen smells like apple bundt cake and hot cider. it's shaping up to be a truly lovely autumn. * * * reading: chariton - callirhoe. listening to: working on: preparing to speak at a conference this coming week. in the garden: the rain brought a second wind to my front beds. it's almost time for cape daisies, and then winter pansies.
