e is for exiguous

today, i finished making an afghan for my little brother, my present to him this coming holiday season. it has an old-man look in old-modern colors, goldenrod and chocolate, avocado and rust.

i know the soft yarn i used will pill and stretch and sag, and i know my brother will only love it more as it falls apart. that's just the way he is.

somehow, when i wasn't looking, my little brother turned into my big brother. he's tall, and he watches out for me.
